Hey,

This is my first HMC challenge so wish me luck. I'm going to attempt a horse, I'm still working on the pose but I thought I'd dive in while waiting for inspiration and start on the head.

The proportions seem off to me.. the head is way too big for the body (just based on perspective, the length of the spine is only slightly longer than the length of the head), and the legs are way too short. You've got a good concept here, and the polyflow is looking good. I'd recommend checking some reference and lining up your proportions:
