I need to simulate a lake - anyone know where i can get a good water shader/preset?

This is the scene itll go into (yes that *is* supposed to be water :hmm:)

Have a look in the Netview. There is a sample scene that comes with XSI called Ocean. (Look under: XSI Local> Library>Render). Maybe if you tone it down a bit, you could use it for your lake.

Cheers Ed, Ive seen that Ocean model already in my searching, but I dont really understand whats going on in the scene - Ive had a play and I still kinda end up with an Ocean feel...

maybe:

1-make sure to increase the Refraction Ray Depth in RenderOptions PPG

2-Increase The aliasing to somthing like 1:3 or 2:3
