View Full Version : help with fur on skinned poly

Hi,
I put Maya Fur on a mouse poly model that is skinned with smooth bind.
My problem is that when the poly surface is deformed by the bones, the fur is moving and it seems that it's not growing at the same place each frame.
How can I make it stay imobile ?

hmm ...sounds like a problem wiht the equalizer maps. these are responsible for the even distribution of the fur on the surface.
As polys have no equalizer maps (just nurbs), the distibution is managed by the uv set.
Do you have good uvs for the model ?
that would be the first thing to check and my first shoot to solve the problem....
