Excellent forum, this one. Please bear with me, I am terribly unexperienced in this field. Trying to learn the ropes of painting in Photoshop, Painter and so on. Som uch has happened since Deluxe Paint IV...

This piece is for a contest (check out www.primal-art.com under competition). I wonder where to take it with my current skill level. It needs like some tightening up, which will probably require a lot of time, which I regretably don't have (due to the deadline). Bear in mind that everything looks better when scaled down, detail wise. The original resolution is 1600x1200, but I had to scale it violently down to fit the size requirements here...

But both for now and for future projects, please let your wisdom wash over me. Just please don't be too harsh as I am a newbie in this games. Any comments and suggestions are very welcome.

well.. it looks like a nice composition.. but it's really too small to give any proper advice..

i've a feeling you might get a message from one of the MOD's cos you haven't named your thread properly..
they're pretty strict with that sort of thing..

just out of interest... when you say you're at Middlesbrough.. do you mean Teesside Uni? if so.. stop by HERE (http://www.projectreflux.net/ballisticpanda/index.php)

there's quite a few of us from that uni.. decided to set up our own forum..

you might want to set up some web space so you can host larger images... and not have to worry about the file size, that way we'll be able to crit/comment better
