Title: Petrucci's Tool of the Trade
Name: Chen Hillel
Country: Israel
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This is a model I made a while ago. I used it in another work of mine that I already posted. This is all about the model, though.
I used 3DsMax 7 for the modeling. V-ray for the rendering and Photoshop for textures and color correction.

Its the most detailed model I've ever done and it was a great practice. I was really going for realism, but after working on it for so god damn long, its hard for me to see the realism in it.
So please comment and tell me how does it look through your eyes.

Also crits and improvement ideas are always welcome of-course :)

Looks kinda realistic, but maybe a bit too much depth of field and bloom. And is the headstock really that thick? Other than that, great job!

7 strings one to be precise
and yeah the headstock is that thick

u should sharpen the headstock a bit to much blur
other than that great pic

Great render, and nice model. Though personally I think the other end of a guitar is more exciting. Would be nice to see the main body where most of the modelling is.

Hey, good job, but I agree with ChrisWalker. Seeing more of the model would really help out. I'm a big Dream Theater fan by the way so I guess I automatically like the piece.
