1) make the head larger
2) move up the jaw
3) shorten in vertical direction

somehow, there is still problem at the eye place while prevents resemblance, I need time to figure it out.

dang, is his nose really that bulgy/bumpy? well maybe it is, I don't have reference. it just seems exaggerated. I think its a pretty decent likeness of cruise tho..

it´s too glossy:shrug: get some skin textures....take some photos of yourself,and modify it....i think that is the easiest way... and dont forget for translucency!!keep going man!!i think that the model is really great!!

If you want it to look like Tom Cruise, I still think you have more modeling work to do. The nose bulging is slightly exaggerated, particularly the nostrils. And the angle of the jaw is too pointed for starters.
This reference is pretty good even though his head is tipped slightly toward the viewer (By the way, I never noticed his nose is deviated to one side before):

Sorry for response after so long time. I have little time working on modeling these days, because of my office work and the SARS panic in China.

I re-create a model, use some new images as references.

I think this time, it is better.

This looks alot better. Keep it up and I'm sure some time while you are modeling it will just 'click' for you and start inadvertantly reminding you of Tom Cruise. Download a bunch of pix of Tom Cruise and really study his face. Keep it up. :thumbsup:

I know there is Maya-Fur, but I don't want to use it. It is said that this feature is very cpu and memory consuming. So I want to know some other way to go.

to Tom_Lowe: You are right, the current texture is not good enough, honestly, this is my first try on texture. The most tricky thing to me is to make the hair, and the mustache. I don't have clear idea on doing that.

to kiaran: You may experienced that the image changes to a redrval's logo, I don't know the reason. Yet, if you try to reflesh the image, the desired one should appear.

to betelgeuse: Yes, that is really a long way for me, which I think may not finish by now. Anyway, I need more energy on the modeling, because I hope I can make it photo alikeness. Thanks.
