What pattern? It's hard to help you if we can't see what you are talking about! :-)

Dang. You're quick. Look again.
I don't know where you got it, but you might want to try "Clear Impasto" in the Canvas menu on the toolbar. Also, you can try the "Toggle Impasto Effect" on the image frame. I was thinking also, the effect may be on a different layer or on the canvas, and showing through. I've had that happen to me a time or two, and it did confuse me until I figured it out. Let us know.

Hi Tom. Nope. It's not on any other layer. Clear impasto isn't an option. Toggle impasto does nada. It looks like a spirograph design or brush texture. Using a blender tool manipulates the color but does not effect this pattern. It's almost like there are two layers in one.

Near as I can figure, I used a large feathered digi watercolor brush and it made this pattern for some reason. I can erase the color but the pattern is "burned" in somehow. Dang.
Have you tried the eraser brush "Erase All"? Also, can you select and move the layer, and does the pattern stay in one place as the layer moves over it. This is wierd for sure. I've had similar things happen to me but it sure does look like some kind of surface texture. One other thing I'd try is is to copy and paste the one layer to a new image and see if the pattern comes with it. It's great to get a puzzle like this and finally figure it out. Lot's of luck.

Well I ended up taking a copy of the layer into Photoshop and blending the pattern out, then brought it back into the file. It turned out fine I think.
I'm sure it was a brush that made the pattern but it was embedded into the layer and nothing I tried worked. Thanks for the offerings though!!
