When I first got Wings3D (earlier this month I believe?), I made this model in the first 2 days without any knowledge of the program. Unfortunatly, I didn't know how to take a picture of it either until recently (I feel like such a newb to computers at times, even though I'm not...). Anyways, I'm not happy with the nose or the mouth. Should I extrude the nose more? Also, how can I save the mouth?

Very nice... I've been using it for about a week or so... and I made this head... I think it would have looked better if I hadn't textured it though... as someone said (don't remember who) it looked burnt when I was going for fur... but, I've never used a modeller before... guess I have some excuse, but maybe you haven't either...

Hurrah! My 15th post!

The mouth is my main concern. I'm pretty happy with it considering it's my first model ever. I don't think I will ever go down the path of modeling people/humans. I clearly don't have the right equipment/software to get serious with 3D yet ( ). You never know, right?

P.S.
Yeah, I wish I could clean out the useless stuff I have on this computer. You should've seen my desktop a couple of days ago, must've been around 58 or so icons. :D

I second wasa ,

Wings is more than capable of modelling any organic shape out there. Dont blame your tools ;)

I think you have the right software just don't realize it yet. It's the users talent that makes a great model not really the tools or software you could spend thousands of dollars on some highend app and it's not going to magically make great models. quite a few of the higher end app users also use wings to model with. I seen quite a few amazing models that were made in wings.

Just took a look at your challenge WIP. VERY nice bit of modeling!
Really looking great, I'll be keeping an eye on it

No, you don't quite understand that I really don't have the software/tools that I would like to have. I have WindowsME which brings some serious limitations when it comes to what 3D software it can except and what software I want it to except. I know that Wings is an excellent modelling program, but modelling is about the only thing I can do with it :thumbsdow . I'm going to try and get a new computer this summer so I'm not worried about it. I'm only 16 anyways, so I'm not in any rush. :D

Sure I have some acceptable software, but keep in mind that a higher end app also comes with more options .

"you could spend thousands of dollars on some highend app and it's not going to magically make great models"

I never said it would. ;)
