This is a quick demo of the Gen3 tree-generating script. Gen3 is created by Sergey Prokhorchuk (a.k.a. Stager) and we have him to thank for creating such a great tool for Blender.

I've done a lot of research and have found quite a few tools for creating trees that are compatible with Blender. And, I'll share with you all of the treasures of information that I've collected in my search for these tools. This should save you quite a bit of time in getting up to speed with the applications.

Just for the record, probably you already know about it, Sergey is also working on another (new) plant-generating program called ngplant (http://ngplant.sourceforge.net), that runs outside blender, but that integrates nicely with blender...

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll be covering the ngPlant tool as well. There are about 12 different tree-making tools that I'll be covering (along with any new ones that may pop up along the way.) I didn't expect to find so many tools but, the more I looked, the more I found!

Excellent. I downloaded Gen3 a couple of months ago and couldn't figure it out. Now I know what to do. Thank you.
