This is a character that I have been working on for a while. The head is done for now, but after the body is complete I plan on remodeling the eyes, forehead, ears, hair, and also texturing the whole thing. I have modeled heads before, but this is my first ever body, so it's a big step for me. I would love any advice you have for me!
This is the head

And here's the body, some images and a wire!

Not too bad so far, especially the head, which looks quite good.

You've got the upper part of the body pretty much down, and I'm going on the assumption that the breasts are so big because of this particular character or your modelling. The lower part however could use a bit of fixing.

Take a look at the hips. About halfway down them they are almost completely straight. That's a no. I would suggest that you round them out right there. After you do that, I think you'll have the model near perfect.

. . . One other thing I noticed is that the legs seem to mesh together. I'm not sure whether or not this is an error on your part, or if you just have them that way for modelling purposes or something and will change them later. Just an observation :)

May my comments provide you with a little help

Hey, thanks for the crits. I notice the hips were to flat thanks to you! The legs were meshed together because of mirroring issues, I'll start moving them apart to get better accuracy. On popular demand I've given her smaller boobs, they still need much work, but they're getting there.

I like the head, nice job there, since I know how hard it is to make a good looking head.

Looks like you're on the right track;)

her head came out really nice lerpie, nice work! the body is coming along nicely too.. Hey recently www.fineart.sk just added a whole bunch of nude women (not porn) which I've found to be an invaluable resource for hips. Check em out, it'll really help you get that realistic, as opposed to idealistic, proportions.

I really need to get off my lazy arse and get back to work on mine..

Yeah Jason, I saw the new pics on finerart.sk. I saved some today, very useful, only thing I wish is that their arms were spread and their legs were open just a little. Oh well, I'll just have to model her like that or make some sketches. I'm planning on remodeling the body, going to try out the box modeling approach. I myself usually remodel things lots of times till I like something, I am a strong believer that if I have tons of tons of tweaking to do, I'll get better results and better skills remodeling. I didn't get around to modeling today because I purchased a new mainboard and cpu. Now my computer runs much faster, allowing me to model better :)

I love the head, she sure has a great mouth/lips! Maybe the nose is a little long... She would look prettier if it were shorter i guess. But great head nonetheless!

She also has some other body parts which catch the eye... maybe a bit too much ;-) but then again that can be a foxification on purpose :scream:

As some of you may have noticed, I have replaced the images on the first post with images of my new model. Yep, I remodeled her today after doing some more anatomy study, and am quite happy with the results. As you may notice in the wire I have a fairly good topology and am not afraid of triangles, tris can really help the anatomy definitions in many places. This time modeling the body I tryed a technique I've never used before and that is to box model, usually I start with 1 polygon and work my way out, but I think I like the box modeling technique now. I'm also not completly finished with the back. As you also can see, I havn't even began to work much on the arms and legs. You can also see that I did not make her anorexic, though I did make her fairly fit. Enjoy!

Well, I just replaced the images again with some tweaks, such as making her thighs a bit thinner, and making her head bigger so she doesn't looks fat.

Very good work.
Some things:

The upper part of the body is almost perfect, but further down the model looses some of it's realism, which is noticeable in the hips and waist.
They're too thin. Her hips (I think) should be only slightly less wide than her shoulders. After you increase the width of the hips, then finding the right place for the waist should easy(ier).

Have you noticed the triangle like dip in the middle of her back?

What is the intended age for this person?

Thanks alot for the crits! I made the hips a little bit bigger, though if I made em too big she looked odd, but her hips were definatly much too thin before. As for the triangle dip in her back, I think I may know what you're talking about, do you mean that little dip right above her Gluteus? Her intended age is not decided, but probably around 19
