View Full Version : Help! RAID-1 got divorced

Hi All,
I just did a reformat / reinstall of Windows XP and now my previous RAID-1 array has split up. Where I used to have I: as a mirrored array, I now have E: and F: as two identical drives (in Explorer).

Any ideas why and how I can fix it without losing any data on the drives?

I suspect there's a fairly simple solution but I'm too nervous to play around ;)

- m/b: ASUS A8N-SLi
- Silicon Image RAID controller
- The array is just data storage, not the boot drive.

Update: Still no joy - I tried deleting the RAID set from BIOS but nothing changed except now the RAID setup (boot) doesn't recognise the two drives at all (although Windows still sees them)

Grateful for any ideas...
