View Full Version : The Stone Towers
I got inspired after reviewing some old art class stuff, and picking up a Dylan Cole DVD
Maybe after a while I'll actually get good at this :D
Anyway, if anyone would like to comment, that would be great. Thanks :)

I like it, very good depth, but it feels more like a painting...:)
Thanks :)
The foreground isn't finished yet. If that's how you mean 'feels like a painting'

yup, it needs more phototexture.
Here's an update. I opened it up a bit more and textured the right tower/cliff, and other touch ups.

nicer version here, a lot more detail just one suggestion , I would add more spiky rocks to the general enviroment it looks like weird only having 3 rock formations like that, and adding more could make more interesting look , and more detailed work
I see some issues with color along aereal perspective as well
other than than itīs looking great
Thank you Jaime, you are very helpful. I'll scribble in some spiky rocks here and there and see what I can come up with.
I sketched in lots of different ideas, I liked this one the best so far.

Thanks guys :)
Yeah, I was thinking I should probably muddy the river.
Here's another idea, a kind of flash flood thing I guess.

I'm thinking I'll just stick with the random spikeys and call it a day. I'm ready to move on to a new painting :)
Cheers.
One problem is the stream to the right.
It's flowing downhill from an elevated position.
Based on the terrain behind it, it would have to travel uphill for it to come downhill like that.
Water doesn't flow uphill.
Thanks Dtox :) I dumped the water and cracks ideas.
I'm calling this bad boy done :D
