That's a nice model man, looks like afew hours went into it. It looks great, and if you're still working on it, I can't wait to see the finished project

To me the breast plate seems to small, or maybe it needs another plate underneath other that that:thumbsup:

very nice work DAbuel, I like the looks of this guy alot. If I had to crit something I guess I might say his face looks a little flat, and the hands need to be revisited.
Hell all it needs now are some butt kickin textures, and it'll look great. I look forward to seeing that hair and beard. keep going with it man, its a great model so far.

Cool model! I agree that the legs are too long, they are much over half the model. I have a feeling that the arms may be a bit short, could be perspective though. Feet and maybe hands seem smallish...
I also agree that the breastplate is small - could have to do with a short rib cage ?
But the details are great i wish i could do them like that! Also great level of finishing all over the model!

Am i mistaken, or dose his fingers tip off sharp? Anywho. Top job!

Dave, I like the character's personality - I think I'm swayed by the high hairline into believing he is the deep thinking Arthur of legend. The crit I would like to add is that the scabbard is held so very high on his waist that it's difficult to visualize him actually drawing that long sword out when he needs to. Sadly, I know next to nothing about actual arms and armor, so I can't make a authorative suggestion, but perhaps the scabbard could be slung lower, about mid-thigh and angled more horizontally.

Really good modelling
I agree with people who say the proportions are off, and the legs are definitely a tad long.
Wetterschneider makes a good point, he'd struggle to draw that sword out of the scabbard as I doubt his arms are long enough :). Also in terms of pure functionality, it looks as if that sword has been modelled in proportion to his legs, but since they're too long I'd say the sword proportions are a bit off. At that length it'd need a 2-handed grip unless he has wrists of steel :D
Perhaps reduce the blade length and increase the grip size?

I dunno if i'm overlooking something but it seems to me that the cheeks bones/beard line (?!?!) looks a bit odd - as though he has been scarred along his face. Also i agree that certain aspects of the face appear a bit flat.
The arms and hands look good - although maybe the fingers are a bit... pointy. As though they have been sharpened. But for a WIP its coming along really nicely.
Also i agree witht the breastplate being too small - or there needs to be a second one. His armour doesnt seem to protect him from attacks to the torso which is what i would have expected the armour to cover MOST.
Is it for an animation? cant wait to see it textured....:)
Good going:) The hair is right for King Arthur, Dabuel- that's the style to suit.
Hey, and the second breastplate would be a good idea, or a full-bodied one.

The hands are a little too fat around the palms, and the fingers are too pointy... plus the few things other ppl mentioned. Other then that it's looking great. Keep it up.

This is a very insignificant problem when compared to the porportion issues raised by other people, however the leather strapping around the scapard (sp) (sword holder) is to thick and perhaps to wide. I like the overall design, nice and clean.

Good job:thumbsup:
Advice : the noz isn't enough long.
Looking good! I would like to see the armour beefed up some and perhaps some chainmail over the arms and scalemail on the torso. Or maybe one large breastplate that covers his front and back. Very impressive already, beefier armour would add to his presence a little more.

its a very nice model...but there are no loops in the face which will make it impossible to animate properly....about the proportions i think they are fine since i'm not sure you are going for photo-real...kinda reminds me of a shrek character...i like it

Looking good, only two crits.... fingers are too pointy and his arm comes through the armband a little bit.
Can't wait to see this done. :applause:

Don't hate me for what I'm about to say, but I think that the face needs a major overhaul. Its too flat. When I think of the kingly figures I've seen in paintings, illustrations, and in films, almost all of them seem to have very hard, chiseled facial features. ie: Large Noses, prominent brows and sharp jaw lines. Obviously the fatter ones wouldnt have such pronounced features but your character appears pretty lean and muscular. Harder features I think subconsciously make one appear more powerful and wise.
