I've noticed it's possible to apply a hair object as a cloth object.
After reading Shag's help I found out it's made out especially for Simcloth and they also explain how to combine the two.

In other words - it's possible having cloth dynamics on shag:hair!
:buttrock:

Anyhow, using simcloth is rather simple. but whatever I did, I couldn't get it to work on shag hair objects..

anyone else suceeded?

I'm using max5.1 , ShagHair v1.0.16 and Simcloth 3.

I'm not 100% sure if Shag:Hair will work with simcloth 3.

I've been using Shag:Hair and simcloth for years now, and there was a parameter in the hair reference helper that(the one that shows the approximate hair position) toggled on and off the cloth pass through.

I have no idea if it's the same in R5, with simcloth 3, because I have'nt had time to load-up shag...if you find out, let me know.

It really worked great with shag:hair, but remember to make collision hulls to speed up the calc time.

it works!! :D
my mistake was that I used simcloth3 (which is much different than v2.5).

also make sure to use shag1.0.16 and not .15 - I've read the cloth desont work there.

This first beta version of SimCloth3 does not work with Shag:Hair. This has been fixed already (and sc3 is now faster and more stable) but I have to find the time for a new release...
