Hi

I have made a CG feature on my own in my spare time at home and just got it released. 'Monsters of the Id' took 4 years to make and lasts 75 mins. It is available online in many places including www.play.com (http://www.play.com/) and www.amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/) etc. Also in some UK stores.

The processes I went through may interest others trying to do something similar, so I have made a web site covering some details. www.monstersmovie.com (http://www.monstersmovie.com/) has free clips, trailers, a gallery, diary page (constantly updating), synopsis, and a history of how and why I made it.

Let me say I am not a CG expert, just a humble film maker with limited resources but I am proud of my CG movie and I hope you can appreciate that I just wanted to make my own feature film, and I used CG to do it.

More clips are on YouTube (please search Calvertfilm) and I plan to add more soon.

This is in fact my second CG feature. The first one I never wanted to release but made it as a gift for my children and family. 'The War of the Starfighters' was completed March 2003 as was archived the following month in the BFI archive and east Anglian Film Archive. Details of that movie at www.calvertfilm.fsnet.co.uk (http://www.calvertfilm.fsnet.co.uk/) if you are interested. Hence I had to make another, to try to release one.

Now I really need a rest....it has been hard work and a mind blowing experience. I recommend it though, so I hope it inspires you to have a go too if making a feature is what you want to do.

Thanks,

Laurie

I just have to applaud you and your tremendous amount of work. Making a 75 min cg feature is a monumental accomplishment and you've made two! Congrats.
