Hello to everyone!
I'm learning to model on zbrush (version 2 not 3.I'm on a mac) and even though I find the whole process quite natural I keep stumbling on a few problems. The main issue being modeling when zoomed in real close. I'm building a male figure and I'm trying to model the hands. As a result I have to move in real close to do the modeling. What happens though is that it's becoming quite a task to model in such a high zoom. A small rotation and the whole model gets out of the window. So each and every second I have to find my model reposition it and start all over again. This makes me want to model from only one angle, just to ease things up. Is there a tool or something that will give the rotation axis to the hand and not the whole model so I can model the parts I want easier?
Many thanks in advance
Dimitris

show only the part you wanna model, set pivot, then clear pivot to set it back to the whole model when youre finished, zbrush 3 does it automatic

I think a better way is to use local. Hitting this will mean the centre of rotation is the place where you last made a stroke, so you can control it easily. have fun!
