Could be the Gamma/Levels of my monitor--but it looks like everythings in shadow--really hard to make out any details on my end...

The trees in the background come out really well, however I can't make out any detail in the fore ground trees. Can this be due to a lack of light. Other than that this is really cool, how long did it take you to do this?

Here's a lighter version - the camera is in the shadow underneath the plants but I added a light behind it. It didn't take that long to make - longest was finding a nice leaf on the web, to which I added a mask in Photoshop - then it was a question of tweaking the plant a bit (half an hour tops - and that's because I just have the plugin and are still fooling around with it instead of going straight for the endresult); then duplicated the one 'tree' and randomized - a bit more than 6 minutes rendering in 720 x 576 (PAL DV) and that's it (too bad I can only upload 20k so I had to bring down the resolution and jpeg really low)...
I hope the result looks better on all you guys' screens

aah, there we go. The extra lighting really brings out the detail. Great job, I will have to look into this plugin a little closer. Thanks for the pic!
hmm in my opinion the extra lighting kinda washes it out.
I like the first one best.

Could very well be a Mac vs PC gamma thing. I could hardly see anything at all in the first, this one I can see.

Yeah well, as usual the truth will be somewhere in the middle (or out there...) and the scene is going to be animated with wind, which means that lighting in the darker areas should change during animation, so the darker areas would be lit a bit.
I first really wanted to have just dark shadows which don't look so bad on my Mac (there you go ... a Mac:PC thing!...) but you guys were right, it could do with some more light, although I overdid it a bit now - since I just wanted to show how nice the resulting plants are.
cheers
Hans ;)
