Title: The Ancient Clock
Name: Milan Vasek
Country: Czech Republic
Software: XSI
Hi. This image is based on concept art done by my friend Temujin (www.temujin.cz) It's done in XSI, textures in Photoshop and composited in Nuke. I used 18 standard lights (no GI or FG).
I hope you like it. All comments are welcome.

I was thinking about gears and clockworks before i saw your thread. Its very beautiful. You inspire me to go on with my idea. Great piece of work! Awesome.
Shows that we don't need Zbrush or any other third party programs to do the work. Which is what I'm trying to experiment on.

wow, what an atmosphere! you've managed to capture the feeling of some arcane story. really love that type of pictures where your imagination is egnited and you start thinking about what happens next and what happened before we reached to that clock. again - great!!!

Nice image. I like the camera angle in this picture, but the perspective looks kind of weird with thoes chains and the scale of the walkway. It looks like an old clock tower but with a strange futuristic (?) lighting to it.

Really nice. Great composition and rich colors. For not using any GI or FG, you still managed to create lighting that captures plenty of nuance. I find that more artistic than simply letting GI handle everything. Keep up the great work.
