Just an image I've recently done. Done in Cinema 4D XL 7.3

It was entered in the 3Dluvr contest but didn't place very high.:hmm:

It's a nice work you've done, you could spend some more time for texturing tho

Man you placed lower than you should have. Yours is way better than some of the ones above you. I guess people voted for themselves a couple times :) I got #9 this month! woot. Man there's always such a huge difference between the top few and the rest of us.

I like your pic, it may not have placed well but it's still good. The pose looks a little stiff, and the anatomy a little hard, but other than that I like it. We just have to keep practicing and do better next month

Yeah, that's because they've got a stupid scoring system:) As you know, you're only allowed to score 3 images so, of course, the best 10 or so will get loads of votes but the 'good' to 'just OK' images will never be seen by anybody to be in the top 3. The result is a true reflection of the top slots with 90+% of the vote with everybody else scrabbling for a handful of points. In my opinion, everybody should score every image - that way those of us at the bottom end get a proper idea of our placing.

Not that I'm bitter coming 68th out of 74 !!

I totally agree with the scoring system. Next problem is, when you have a bad picture, you only need a couple of friends to wipe out all the other midfield-contender. To vote for every picture would be rather time-consuming, though. Especially when you have to remember the image numbers... Perhaps you should only have to give, say, 0 to 5 stars for each picture.

wayfaerer - Yes, I didn't mean that everybody should place all the images in their order of merit - that indeed would be impractical :) But, as you say, everybody could score each picture out of 5 (or 10, 100 or whatever) and the points totalled to give a much more accurate order of the quality of each image. As I say, I doubt whether it would (or should) affect the top few placings but it would be very helpful for the rest of us.

miketche - sorry to have got off the point. For what it's worth, I think you're picture's great.

Hey, that's all right. I do think the images that won are definately the ones that should have won, but I also think my image was better than some of the images above mine.

Oh well.:D
