View Full Version : HMC#10:Giraffe running
reedomatic01 07-31-2007, 02:28 PM This is a great idea. I have been wanting to do some more animal models. Going to use this as an opportunity to practice some zbrush techniques. This image is by the photographer steven bloom. The pose will be loosely based on it.

Yeah, good luck with the giraffe speakerwizard. It looks like we are the only 2 giraffes at this point... Here is a small head update.

I was having some issues with my normal maps, so I redid the base topology and UV layout again. I also made the head a little thicker like you suggested Staszek. Still tweaking normal maps, and starting the texturing also.

Here is my entry for the Encounters and animal habitat HMC #10. Its called giraffe running. I used maya 8.5 to create base mesh, then used z brush to add some details to mesh. Textureing is done in photoshop CS and lighting and rendering in mental ray/maya software. Grass and trees are painteffects.
