This is the scene - an empty swimming pool, a character will sit on the edge of it and he'll be fishing with a bomb.

Some progress with the character on the edge of the pool.

And here is the final image. About 90000 polygons with 5,3k texture, rendered for about 8 hours. I'm not really happy with the result though. I think I took a too large scene and put in too few geometry. Anyway It's not a bed start. Wish everybody good luck!

Thank you rawrsie, this is where I am now. I've added some more props: a chair, parasols and the characters shoes and jacket. I've put some more dirt on the ground and the walls, worked on the transitions and added some graffitis to make it a little more alive.

I've added some stuff to make it a bit more alive and now I'll leave it at this stage. Again good luck to everybody!

No, Wait! dont leave it just yet... haha. The image looks fantastic and compositionally its really strong. My only suggestion would be to bump up the color and complexity of the man by the pool. With a bit warmer tones and maybe more fishing gear next to him (umbrella, picknick sack, etc) it would definitely bring it to a next level.

Thank you jpmonroyal. I'll play with the colors then some more and I was thinking about putting in a suitcase with some papers earlyer, so if I have time I'll try that as well. Thank you again.
