HADES 03-27-2003, 01:28 PM l want to know you guys how you deal with uv in maya l laways paint my character in deep paint and like that l can fix the uv wh are not smoothing but if l want to paint in photoshop how you guys deal with that because everyone knoe maya doent smooth uv what are your technic on that......................l have try smooht_UV but l can get it work...l got some kind of weird error he cannot source the Smooht_Uv..................

That's a geat link you posted MCdonut
I am in the process of doing my first UV editing on a character now.
What I don't get is when I make my UV's all liine up in straight lines the grid image map looks very good and clean, when I have it flow with the shape of the mesh things tend to get a bit warped. Does anybody know which is a better process to make your UV's flow?

relax uvs might help also. just set iterations to one.
if thats good enough it would be faster.
