Hello!

Here is my initial sketch for the challenge. Part of it is colored so I could see what I wanted it to look like. Anyways, at the bottom of the image you have a hand being attacked by a few mosquito creatures. There are some faces on the hand as well. Around the middle of the image there are some dragons. They are drinking the blood the mosquitoes collect. After they drink it, they blow out a mist which creates clouds that will be present at the top of the image (it may be hard to see now, sorry). At the very top we see part of the other hand. There are strings attached to the mosquitoes which go to the hand on top. Both hands are the same creature. Sorry if it is hard to tell what is going on right now my sketching is not precise, and there is no color aside from the bottom hand. Anyways, hope to submit more soon. Everyone's images are really great, and I thank anyone in advance who posts about my image. Peace!

-Matt

Well you got me all curious already! seems like a complicate concept with 3 interacting kinds of creatures.... nice. You know? the fingers with faces intrigue me the most.

Wow. is there another angry face on the middle phalange of the index finger? that's even more strange:eek:...........

Good Luck, and i hope we see more soon!

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I'll have more updates soon. My family is coming to visit me here in Japan so I'm going to show them around for about 9 days. After that, I'll post some more stuff. :bounce:

Changing the idea. Slightly different. This sketch does not feature the dragons in the earlier sketch.

Here's an update of the thumb pic. Adding some more details and trying to polish it up a little bit before the deadline. Any advice is welcome! Thanks.

Here is the final image for my entry into the 'Strange Behavior' competition. Seeing everyone else's artwork has been a great experience and I hope to enter more contests in the future. The background of this image is as follows:

The original image started as just a thumb with a face. I wanted to draw a slightly furry giant type of creature who had faces on his hands. The giant creature is pretty mindless, but the faces on his hands have unique personalities and some of them are pretty brilliant. The cloud in the background is the antagonist of the story. An evil and very powerful being, the cloud used an army of hypnotized bug creatures (part living bug, part inanimate object) to suck the blood from other creatures (in this case, the giant).

If you have any advice on the picture let me know. Thanks.
