Is there somekind of simple browser that allows you to view .max or .3ds files without having to open up Max?

I got atleast 200 models infront of me and its gonna be a big task trying to load each one by one.

Does Max itself have a some sort of 3d Brower? or some other independant small program which can do the job??

thanks

Actually ..

Tim, Deep Exploration isn't free. I just had to pay $249 for it and it has to load Max into memory to view Max files. It's a pretty good program overall and has a cool tool that will max and HTML page with Thumbnails of your models for you.

It is a bit buggy though.

I was a bit leery of actually paying for a viewer, but it is pretty powerful over all and it can translate files ACCURATELY into othe rformats. I can go from MAX to MAYA in no time flat.:buttrock:

There's also a shareware program out there with a Max plugin tie-in that will browse your directories using max to render the .max files and a simple renderer for the .3ds files. It's called 3D Browser. I'd toss a link up but dont have it handy and you can always just do a simple search in google to find it.
