3.0.1 grass or hair

Yeah, I'd like some insight as well.

I'm good at smoking grass, just can't make it that well in CG:)

i used the tutorial in 3.0, and it worked fine....i just had to decrease the thickness

i used the tutorial on edharriss' site....but i had to decrease the thickness to 0,5...but this is surely also depending on, how near you are looking to the grass
maybe there are a few ohter modifications needed, but generally the 2.0.1-tutorial works fine in 3.0

i have tested hair on xsi 3.0 to make good grass .
i have read and make a tuorial from the net to understand methode ! this tut. use the node hair render of xsi 2 it not same as hair renderer to xsi 3.x :( on xsi 3. we need use transparency make extremity of the hair good, but not pointed :( i think is impossible with this node ! but we can use a xsi 2 node for to that, but this make xsi unstable :((((
for my test i try to render a grass from a large plan ! and unfortunly grass is blured for the best solution !

if somebody know a solution or a good way : ) thx !

the main problem i had was to transfer a scene with grass from 2.0.1 to 3.0 but you cant it will not render. so i created new grass but the scaling is also different how do i make the grass shorter in 2.0.1 all i did was scale the grass down but when i do this in 3 it looks like a puddle of green mush the tutorial is good you can use it for both but the scaling the grass is the problem

any one please help
