I have a standard Maya 8.5 scene in which I have a fair number of lights along with a bit of specialized light linking going on. The weird issue I am having is that when I am rendering with the animated camera (the only animated thing in the scene) - the lights don't all cast shadows from all the objects... Even though I made sure that "Shadows Ignore linking" is checked in the Maya render options.
Now, if I duplicate the camera (without any of its animation) and render from this new camera, all the lights will cast shadows from all of the objects.
It gets weirder: If I then point and orient constrain (in fact, if I just point constrain) this new camera to the animated camera - the lights once again will not cast shadows from all of the objects even through this new camera.
Any ideas here?
Thanks
Ben
