hey all you cgtalkers, ive been hanging around here for a while and all your work has inspired me to throw something of my own together.

its a model loosely based on myself, cartoon style, that im going to create an animated sequence for as an assignment at college. i havnt even finished modeling him but i couldnt wait to start the facial morphs, so these renders show some different expressions.

i'd love to hear what you guys think, comments, suggestions, anything.

TOOLS USED: Lightwave 7, Sasquatch

i'll keep this WIP going until i finish the animation or im chased out by a mob af angry villagers, pitchforks in hand. :wip:

Hehehehe cool

Just be aware that your morph targets are squashing the eyeballs as well ;)

You should use longer hairs for the eyebrows, instead of the short stubbly ones. Only problem is that Sasquatchs long hairs tend to look a little odd sometimes.

You also need to check the polys on the corners of the mouth - they are a little odd, like you haven't pulled them back like the others, or extended them inwards, if you know what I mean?

You should also model the eyes in a little more detail :) Especially since eyes form a lot of the personality of the character - you should take extra care to ensure that they look really good. That means modelling the eyeball and the lens seperately, and then doing really kickass textures for it. If you look on the Computer Arts site, I think that somewhere there, Bill Fleming did a LW tut on eyeballs :)

well, theres the character modeled and rigged, now i have to dress him. im sick of having a naked man live in my computer.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?
