Hi all!
Here's a recent snapshot from hell, with regards from the poor bastards that live there (should be about 60 billion souls by now).

Everyone has to be punished for their personal sins in their own personal way. The chum in the front left is a noisy neighbour that now has to endure endless sonic torture. The girl on the right is a dentists nurse, now she is forever plagued with tooth ache. The poor bloke inbetween will be tormented for eternity by constant flashbacks on stupid things he said when he was alive. The story of the others you just have to guess....

Originally I set out to do an illustration of Dante's inferno, but since i can't be bothered to read the book i just dropped Dante and did a generic view from hell. The plan was to keep a simple palette and build a mountain of flesh without having to bother too much about consistent lighting, proportions and all that. Ad-hoc all the way, in other words.

This is my first post and all feedback is greatly appreciated. I hope to post a lot from now on.

Thx, Jay. Actually, the falling guy is just one of the new arrivals. I heard he's that swedish politician that raised the taxes on cigarettes. He'll spend his time in hell trying to bum a smoke...

I am glad u liked it, patricia. I hope its not overly emotional... that would make it embarrasing to watch. The plan was to make a picture with plenty of detail and motion that was fun to look at. In the end, i assume that whether its fun or not to watch other people suffer is down to personal preference. Personally i found it rather entertaining to create this suffering. I'm probably a real psycho....
