This is my first post here. I'm a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design and this character is from my final animation project. I hope to go into the game or film industry after I graduate in May. I would appreciate any comments you may have, especially from those working in the industry. Thanks!

the pants look a bit odd, more detail? the shoes too.

The hat and jacket are excellent, but the trousers and shoes are awful and look very WIP. I'm assuming they aren't finished yet, but they will need to be much more detailed to match the quality of the jacket. I also don't think the head is as good as it could be. I can't quite pin down what's wrong with it, it just seems a little lifeless and lacks personality. It's probably the eyes.

A wee bit more work and it'll be an excellent character.

I'll take a stab at that. I think it looks a little flat. The nose could be pulled out a little more, and the corners of the mouth pulled back.

Thanks for the input! Funny how the things I spent the least time on (legs and shoes) catch the most flak, hehe. I have a pic of one of the Confederate guys from the animation as well. He has the same problems in the leg and shoe area, as his body was based on the first one. Tell me if you like this guy more. I'll post a new thread with some of my other stuff that's in a different style. Oh yeah, if you have TechTv, I have an animation playing on their new show Eye Drops. Tell me if you like it, I'm considering putting it on my reel. If you don't have TechTv it can be seen at http://www.scad.edu/dept/ca/main_high.htm in the top right of the Gallery section.
