Banding in AE camera DOF...

I'm getting some weird banding in the depth of field attribute of my camera in AE7. Anyone else run into this problem? Better yet how do I rid myself of this banding?

Switch to 16 bpc, this should slightly improve matters. You won't see any further improvements at 32 bpc. If the quality is insufficient for your purposes, you then have to resort to other tricks.
