Subject line says it all: how many of you think that "Vertice" is a word?

Yeah, I thought there'd some disagreement (as there was with "modeling vs. modelling"), because I see "vertice" and "control vertice" used all the time on the list.

Even if there isn't much disagreement, I bet this poll will make some people think about the issue before asking about vertexes or problems with a vertice again...

Hm... Slow day at work, Jeremy?;)

Actually I think this is a language related issue. If you only knew how hard it is for someone with a language other than english as their native tounge to keep track of all these "new" english words.
From where I come we call the phenomena "Swenglish":p

ok.. concerning modelling and modeling.. have you looked it up in a british dictonary?
i am not sure about it and as i german i have the full right to make typos :)

but jeremy: are you really *that* bored at ILM that you have to make such polls? :)

cheers

It's bloody vertex! I'm one of those pedantic arseholes who gets incredibly irritated by this sort of thing!!

s: vertex p: vertices
s: matrix p: matrices
s: NURBS p: NURBS

Ahh that's a trickier one. Technically it should be CV, but I think just about everyone says CVs don't they? I doubt it'd be in the dictionary somehow!

What a lame poll:rolleyes:

Even lamer is me answering it! :p

I think the proper term should be vertii for the plural form of vertex.
