View Full Version : Hiding objects in seperate Geo Windows?
SheepFactory 03-27-2003, 12:39 AM Hi Guys ,
Here is what I am trying to do:
I have two geometry windows , in one I want only the image plane displayed , so I can load my reference image , and in the other I want only the Geometry displayed.
When I hide the object in one it dissappears in the other too , is there a workaround to make it work?

Only thing I can think of is to create your image plane and move it waaaay off to one side of the model then aim one window at the image and the other at the model. It might still interfere when you tumble though you should be able to get rid of it in the 'modelling' window by adjusting clipping planes.
Not an ideal solution but it should work!
I read somewhere that there is a free image viwer around that can be set to always display over other windows. Sorry can't remember what it was called (it was windows only and I use a Mac). If someone can point you to it it might be a better solution.

Dunno if this is what you're after, but have you tried using the 'show' option (after rmb) for the image plane in the outliner window - this is associated with the checkerbd icon there:)
