View Full Version : object: photorealistic marker
mihkeltt 03-26-2003, 10:52 PM One of my relatives said to me to do the first thing i get hold on the table in 3d and here's what it was - the marker. Tried to do a little photorealism. Critiques and comments are welcome.

great job on it overall. Only 2 major points.
One, the ground texture seems to be too fake, makes the beautifully done marker and paper look bad.
Secondly the cap looks weird for some reason, maybe too much blur.
Good work over all though :)

um.. me got a red x
edit// just came up.
really cool work, petedraper done something like that aswell.
I,m agree with two before comments and agree one thing, the plastic of the cover of the pen is not realistic, try to put a celular map into bump map channel and you give a better look.
In overall good job

hope this cap looks more real - the table texture still needs some work

The new cap is 10x's better! Great job on it man. But yeah the wood could use some or a lot of work, I'm really not feeling the wood.

Looks quite fake, not photorealistic at all really. You should use global illumination and raytraced refelctions instead of specularity and weird harsh shadows.

Nice stuff. I think the nib of the marker doesn't need that litte gloss it has.
