Hey folks,

I have been tasked with animating the hands of a watch, for which I have used some relatively simple Xpresso, so that the second hand drives both others, and time is accumulated correctly. I have the second hand simply rotating around the central axis, but in reality of course, the second hand moves in definite steps rather than a fluid motion. I could keyframe this of course, but I wondered if there were a way to use Xpresso to make the second hand hold, then move one 60th etc..?

Cheers

Have a look at Lennart's (http://www.tcastudios.com/) Step Clock. File 027 under the X-files.

Cheers, Alan.

That looks great, but unfortunately it's more complex than I need, since I also have to be able to explain how to do it to others! :)

I just need to know how to make the second hand pause/delay in with the very simple Xpresso code I have.

Check the attached setup.
The simple trick is to use Integers instead of real values.
