View Full Version : How can I make a parking lot look like it just rained, with some puddles??
MayaMagic 03-26-2003, 10:03 PM I am wonderign how I can make a parking lot look wet. I already have an asphault shader, but ive tried everything to make it look like there are wet spots...please help, this is for my senior project!!

Use some maya magic.
Hmm, put some dips in the parking lot model, and put some puddel geometry in there.

Maybe you can use 2 planes one is your reflective water the other is your ground plane use a
concreate image as your displacement map and as your color.
the water can be done I guess with a environment sphere that uses a render of
your scene as a image to mirror or you could just use a raytraced blinn shader with
a reflection that is set to a high and a color set to black...I'm guessing
I'm kinda new to maya texturing also.
