Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has a way to bake object reflection out of Vue? Not talking environment map here.

Need to apply reflection map to same object when rendering in C4D.

thanks,

No, you can only bake illumination. You could though make a spherical render of your environmnet as an HDR or standard picture file format and use it as a refmap in C4D.

Only illumination? That's suprising.

Picture this scenario:
I have a reflective headstone among some flowers and grass. The headstone, rendered in C4D, needs to reflect the flowers and grass, which are rendered in Vue5Infinite and compositied with the headstone in Photoshop. Is there some way I can substitute a reflective headstone in Vue, bake the reflections the headstone sees, and export that texture to C4d and apply that texture to the C4D headstone as a reflective map?

I would do it this way:

Render your scene without the stone in Vue, make a spherical HDR render.
Render your scene again in Vue with the stone, but wihtout the advanced features ( use standard lighting instead of GI, disable shadows...) and save out the stone mask.
Render your C4D scene using the HDR from Vue as a refection map. Be sure to synch your cameras, focal lens as well. Composite everything in Photoshop.

Thanks Bruno. I'll give that idea a shot.
