Darkish Female I created this week.
Its a first time in the "dark style"

Inspired mostly by broms , some of my sketches and a few other artist I consider dark. (soul )

I doubt I should leave the breast like this.
Critics and comments welcome

(3380 polygons with the gun, 1 512x512 and 1 256x512)

Excellent!
This actually looks like a character for the new generation consoles x-box and ps2. Not too low poly in appearance. amazing. No critiques here just admiring. The texturing is pretty good as well were you going for leather? It looks like suede on the legs/gloves and the red gown thing. :buttrock:

the shading on the texture makes the breasts seem

very extruded... but the model is very flat.

but great job.

cool! my only comments are that the legs and hands could use a little modelling work. the hands are thin through the fingers.. and the legs look like they are bent in at the knees. almost looks like they are broke. might not show up in an engine though..

also I didnt realize she had a gun until i read your text.. might want to accentuate the holster/strap next time around.

nice work!

must aggree with MrHappyPants on the hand and legs. The knee area could use more texture definition too.

Pretty cool otherwise. Great concept.

Personally i dont like the fact she is nude... i think a nice gold-revealing bustier would compliment the model alot more.....

just wanna say that i really like this. :applause: :applause: :applause:
i agree with the pevious crits by the others: the model could do with some slight adjustments... on your textures i would certainly revise the shoulder (deltoid) muscle where it comes down on to the arm... at present your lighting (in your texture) makes it look as though the deltoid is overhanging the arm area: i would add a gentle gradient from the base of the detoild away down the arm (just as the deltoid has going up from this seam to the top of the shoulder in your texture.
the texture on the back (i think its UV mapping to blame this time) above the dress also needs tidying: it looks a little smeared at the mo (between the vertical straps and the shoulders.
the shading on the underside of the jaw (noticable form the profile view) could do with being less extreme: i would give it longer fall off so that it blends in better to the surrounding skin tones: it looks a little smudged at the mo.
finally the flesh on the thigh: same probem as the breasts: the geometry doesnt really fit to well with the texture: try and reshape the leg geomemty to be a little more subtle: you have an isopalm that ends halfway across the leg here: i would keep it right round the thigh and allow it to add a slight curve to the outer line of the thigh: you can tell its one poly at the mo...i would even add an extra poly strip right the way round: to add a further isopalm to play with. looking at your wires you have lots of vertical detail: pull out one of the vertical lines in the leg and used the polys saved there to add the detail to the thigh.

aside from the required tweaking i think a big well done is in order: your style is excellent: i love the costume design : its a really unique lokking character and i hope you are pleased with her: you really should be.
i know it can be hard to do more to a character once you've mentally finished it ( i have an entire portfolio of characters i need to o and tweak that i havent gotten around to ....(mental note that this is a bit hypocritical then) but i really think a bit of spit and polish could make this front page material: so plug in a few extra hours to just finish off and tidy up.
again well done on a great and potentially amazing character. i look forward to more from you.
cheers!

Great female! A real "femme fatal"

One thing though: is she in the Game Art section, 'caus you want her to be in UT2003 or is there some other reason?

No real reason, I thought low-polygon models should go in the game art forum. Should I move it somewhere else?

No, ofcourse not. Keep her where she is ;)

And, well, she would fit into UT2003 IMHO :p

Great job so far Wolf, I like the concept behind this character specially in the dark side arena. My only crit would have to be the upper stomach region underneath her boobs. If you slim it down a little, it would really help those tits stick out and give her more definition. The other thing thats a little bit off are her wings near the shoulder blade area. It might be too close to her arms. You can fix that by maybe scaling both sides closer to middle or darken it with texture. Hope that helps. Good job.
