Hello,
I am new to XSI from Lightwave. For my first attempt at some magic, I am working on rigging up a simple robot arm. It is similar to the industrial machines that put cars together.
For my plan of action, I figured I would make a simple IK chain and then just parent the different parts of the mesh onto their respective bones. However, I am running into some issues with the IK. They are:
1 - XSI doesn't seem to be respecting the Rotational Limits I am setting. It respects them in FK, but when I go to IK, the bones seem to have a mind of their own. Is there anyway to make the IK stick to just the constrained regions?
2 - In Lightwave there is a feature to set the Controller for each Rotational Axis. So, you can set the Heading to IK and the Pitch to FK, etc. Is there a similar feature in XSI?
Thanks!
