View Full Version : future/high tech soldier high poly

this is what I have so far for a high poly model that i want to make a low poly/normal map for use in the blender game engine. its a doom 3/mega turrican/gears of war inspired soldier. any crits would be helpful. its about 85,000 quads and a few stray tris at the moment. (modeled in Blender3d)

Blender has its own game engine? :argh:

The model's looking pretty sweet. The foot area of the boots look kind of bubbly, and the torso is bland compared to the rest of the model.

@ChaosDragondz: solid modeling. Agree with Ramseus about the torso... The overall shape, although well modeled, is not very well defined. You seem to hesitate between different concepts/designs. Perhaps if the upper parts of the legs were fully armored? At the moment, the first idea is that there's some glitch in the proportions, but I guess that, unarmoured, the character is correctly sized.

okay, I've been working on the torso, i also started working on a simple gun. I suck at modeling guns...
