The whistle in the leaves hint at the presence nestled in their boughs. An elvish archer hides amongst the branches to rid her forest of its intruders.
I scanned the pencil sketch and used only a few layers to render this piece as I feel it more like a traditional painting if allowed to work onto the background. Some tree references were also utilised, but I wanted a distinct style to emerge.
The elves clothing was to blend in with her surroundings as if she were part of the foliage and her bow another stem.
