Hi,

How is the best way to do a fog effect in a 2D composite, using Combustion 2.0?
Any help will saved my life.

Thanks very much

Andre

Hi,

The best way to use the 3D post filters such as fog is to render out an RLA or RPF file from your 3D application like Max etc with the Z-depth channel.

Then when you import the image sequence into combustion you apply the 3D fog filter to the layer and you can then adjust the fog fall off, displacement, colour etc.

Hi,

What kind of RPF or RLA file do I export to make Fog on a video for example.

Can I export an empty picture ? Only Alpha channel to apply the Fog on it and see the video under this layer ?

Thx.
