View Full Version : fur - patch
baran 07-25-2007, 03:26 AM Hi,
my model consists around 40 patches. When I apply fur, its spread is totally different. In some areas its too dense 'cos then number of curve points very close. But I want a uniform fur for the whole patch.
any suggesstions????

I have seen this before. Here is your solution:
Guys, guess what: I got fur! Finally, without any bald spots, nice and dense! So happy ;)
The solution for this was that Maya automatically generates a so called "EqualityMap" which ensures that the fur is equally placed over the whole model. Unfortunately this seems very buggy, so that in dense uv places it causes some problems. Solution: Get rid of this dumb map by just disabeling it in the DefaultFurGlobals.
Thanks a lot for your help though.
