Have just uploaded a short article on my website on how to project textures onto a face model using 3ds max, inspired by the book 'Essence: The Face' (http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/books/essence/face/).
As the thread 'Essence: The Face" not what I expected' (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=2&t=498056&page=2&pp=15&highlight=essence+face) points out, the book doesn't really go into enough detail about software specific steps in achieving the amazing outcomes presented in the book. I wrote this article, really just to help myself understand, but am happy to share it:

I really do recommend the book & DVD - a must have for the CG artist's libray.
