Alright...
the main plot is inspired by the comics of Mjau Beibi [Meow Baby] published by Jippi Forlag 2001/ artist: John Arne Sæterøy aka jason (from Norway)...my hero in terms of new comic art.

Cast:
A mummy and two visitors (Archaeologists)

here are the first rough steps in case of character development. I'm after a mix of early 20th century / silent movie look and quite contemporary character design...

Comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

The mummy...I wanted to stay away from the comic-mummy stereotypes One got in mind on first thought.

The archaeologists...as I wrote above I want to make them early 20th century styled...maybe one of them gets an vintage photocamera added...

Please feel free to add comments!

and a more frontal view...I try to keep the detail as low as possible... and will bring in folds via bump maps I think.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

I encountered a big problem, maybe one should read the rules of this contest entirely.
I already invited a friend to "my team" and then I read that Animation entries (that are the ones for teams) need to fit their animation to the "art gallery"-script. I don't like to do that, but it looks like you're only allowed to do your own "strange behaviour"-script as a one person-entry[...as an "animation" entry/ where the script isn't judged]. Is it really that restricted? I hope I'm overlooking sth...please let me know if I do so!

I'm switching from Strange Behaviour -Short Film to -Animation, because I wasn't aware of the "art gallery" treatment that needs to be told in the short film category.

So I need to reject my team invitation, right?
Does someone know how this can be done?

Heres the modeling progress on my 3rd actor the mummy... hope you like it

Macling,

I'm not sure if I understand your question entirely, but you are correct that the "short film" portion of the competition is based on the screenplay "Art Gallery."

@wartoon: thanks for reply...I'm glad you like it!

@Pauk Gulino:...yes I figured that out too so I posted in the FAQ thread...only thing I need to do to switch is posting here that I'm switching to animation category and send pm to the already invited team member that I need to do the contest alone by myself. I guess my thread will be moved by the CG talk-staff then!?
