These are the rules:
You have 65 mn for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).
Good Luck

Came across as a bit of a "rules nut" in a recent voting thread, so decided to do something a little bit skewed from the actual topic. Instead of a "bond girl" a la James Bond's love interest(s), I went with a "bond(ed) girl"/"bound girl". Trapped by some kind of giant, spider-like creature.
Ironically, this is a classic kind of situation for a "Bond girl" to get rescued from by 007. Dr. Arach-No, anyone? ;)
Unfortunately, I did not have either Painter or a tablet available, so here's my 65 minute Photoshop mouse version. I may try a more literal take on the subject with my usual Daily Sketch tools at a later date.
Yeesh, I'd forgotten how tough it is to paint with a mouse... :p

Tell me about it.... and I didn't think you were a nut.

Tell me about it.... and I didn't think you were a nut.Really? Wow, there's something I don't get very often... ;)
It actually wasn't that I thought you were calling me a rules nut... I just personally felt I came on a bit strong in that thread (both responses). I tend to be a bit self-critical. And by a bit, I mean very. And by very, I mean fairly relentlessly. In general, I tend to err on the side of caution/understatement and, as such, am usually reluctant to post strong opinions that might stir up controversy. Not a big fan of controversy. :p
In actuality, the whole idea of interpreting topics in odd ways is a good creative exercise, and a great way to get the mind moving in different directions/sharpen up the ol' concepting skills. Now if only I could improve my paintings to match the concepts! :D
Looking forward to your bond girl.
P.S. - Elnaz: ArtRage = quite cool. Can't believe I hadn't heard of it.
EDIT: Ah... finally got around to reading the posts after mine in the old thread, where it's all explained. Teach me to rely on the UserCP's Subscribed Threads section. :p

Here's my attempt - another Honey Rider. :-)
About 90 mins (sorry for being naughty - I was having fun!) in Painter X.
PS - I would post what I had at 65 mins - but I'm afraid I wasn't doing iterative saves. :-(
