The program is not open, but when I try to drag the plug-in to the folder in V8, it says the plugin folder cannot be modified. Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
Cris

Hi,
"It says" ? CINEMA or the OS? For me it sounds like you have write protected the Plugins folder.

Srek

Hi, Srek...I'm on OSX btw...that's what I thought, but I checked on that and it isn't.

May have to call tech support tomorrow. Was just hoping someone else had come across this.

Thanks,
Cris

Chris,

Fixing your permissions is easy. Open the Apple Disk Utility, select the First Aid tab,

Then locate your drive in the left hand column.

Click on the arrow next to the drive which contains Mac OS X. Inside click on the drive with your custom name.

Now you can click the Repair Permissions button. Do not do a verify first, it can take a long time.

Also, you may want to look into getting a little utility called Cocktail Click here to get it. (http://www2.dicom.se/cocktail/index.html)

It's not really that big of a deal. :)

He could also just Get Info on the folder containing the plug-ins and change the permissions for just that folder. But it's just better to make sure everything is correct.
