Great first car! I think the topology is wonderful, thats the first thing that jumps out at me. Very clean. :thumbsup:

It's actually too clean; you're lacking a ton of necessary details, namely bordering the windows.
Well you did a fine job of breaking the model up into quads, except for the area above the headlight... I'd avoid pents, better to have a tri than anything above 4 sides.
And finally, the smoothed version looks very bumpy, best way to fix that is to (in edit poly mode of course) enable NURMS subdivisions, set the iterations to 1 or 2 (depending on what your computer can handle) and then smooth it out by moving vertices as needed. This allows you to see the changes in the smoothed model.
Oh I just realized you're using Maya though... that last part was Max specific, but maybe Maya has something similar? Good luck though, keep at it! :beer:
