Well this is a bit old now, but I thought I'd throw it up and see what the CG community thinks. It's a student piece... my first 2D animation, and a technique I've been trying to experiment with more. Because of that, I'd like to get some C&C on the look and technique. Any critique of cinematography/storytelling would be welcome as well. Thanks.
Most of the animation was done in Flash; however, 3D Studio Max was used for the water ripples and leaves falling... qualifies as "CG" I think.

Doesn't matter much for critique purposes, but the story of one girl's sacrifice to save her friend and allow her to grow up here is intended as a metaphor for coming of age in general (Innocence is sacrificed to the altar of knowledge and wisdom). But anyway... Thank you for any crit.
