View Full Version : "Whoops!!!"-Hero-Shootr

I wanna use my stick figure character so that I can emphasize the animation. My idea is that he tries to simply fly away, but the wind proves to be too much of an obsticle. no animation yet, but what do you think? got any other ideas for another use of a stick figure?

Here's a REALY rough story board of my stick hero animation.
It's really simple, but I hope that I can produce some nice animation. should be good to try and have a reaction to wind.

if you can't read the words, it's basically him striding in all hero like, saying the line, then leaping into the wind, only to struggle with it, and then ultimately being blown away.
I should have the starts of the animation up in a day or so.

looks good.
i like the delivery of your line of dialogue.
I think you could use more lateral movement when your character is struggleing against the wind.

thanks for the feedback Red_Merkin.

After working on it after reading your suggestion, I agree. It has more to it now. Take a look at it now and tell me what you think.
I also added some particle effects to help suggest the wind more.

here's the latest (perhaps final) version.
nothing too new, just trying something with a cape.
the Deadline is approaching and I'm moving in a day or two. So, I'll most liekly will be too busy to really do anything else with this.

Very good animation Shootr, the only thing i would change is the run/walk at the begining, he jumps far to freelly and easy, think would look better having him struggling against the wind as he cames in and build up for the final action, at first you dont quite realise how windy it is despite al the debris flying around.
The delievery of the line and the final flighting bit is very well done, think it deserves a better begining..

The beginning animation helps set up the the hero's false sense of....well....power. He comes in like he owns the place but suddenly finds himself in the cruel world of his own insufficiencies.

It rocks dude!

I think you should do what we talked about though. Having him crawl, trying struggle past the wind. Just to emphasize the fact that he is not as big as he seems.

Nice effect... great job, I agree with the above post...I know your about out of time but this is good.

Maybe you could use your rig and replace it with a model after the challenge eh? with a scene...that would be cool.

I soon hope to follow your suggestion and see if I can use this guy as a bone system for a full out model. It's been an idea I've been toying with for sometime. I appreciate the posts.
