I know for a fact there is a plugin for C4D that links channels in your material editor. For example if you have a procedural noise shader in the color, bump, and diffuse, all set to the same settings, all you have to do is change one of them, and all of the others are updated instantly! Ver cool, very needed by me right now!

Yeah, please post replies rather than emailing 'cause this plug-in sounds extremely handy. I'd buy most certainly.
